Ealing Choral Society was absolutely thrilled to welcome 150 singers to its Come & Sing Fauré Requiem & Handel Zadok the Priest event on 13 September 2025. The half-day “concert in a box” involved the learning, rehearsal, and performance of the two pieces with ECS Director of Music Peter Asprey, organist James Orford, soprano Hilary Cronin, and bass Gavin Cranmer-Moralee.

We were delighted to see so many new faces, and to welcome so many old friends to the beautiful, central Ealing setting of Haven Green Baptist Church. ECS hasn’t held an event like this before, and it meant so much to us that so many people joined us for a day of singing. Without the participation and enthusiasm of so many people, the day would not have been so impactful. The moment all 150 singers lifted their voices to fill the church with the first moments of Zadok the Priest, was especially thrilling.

We are also delighted to report that the retiring collection after the concert raised £450 for Help Musicians.
