Ealing Choral Society’s recent Fundraising Quiz Night held on 4 February 2023 at Haven Green Baptist Church raised over £3500 to support the activities of the choir. The annual fundraising quiz event, organized this year by ECS Social Secretary Amy McNicholas and the social team, welcomed more than 125 people to test their knowledge against an array of questions, set by our expert Quizmaster Colin Richards, ranging from tricky to devilish. Many congratulations to the winning team, who will have possession of the trophy until next year’s quiz!

In a special nod to Ealing Choral Society’s 60th anniversary, this year’s quiz evening also featured an exciting 60th Anniversary Auction. Bidders competed for a variety of lots including meal vouchers, items handmade by members of the choir, instrument lessons, holiday stays, a private tour of a central London landmark, and a signed manuscript of Bird of Time, the piece specially commissioned by the choir from our VP, celebrated composer Cecilia McDowall, which received its premiere at our 60th Anniversary concert in November. In all the auction raised over £1700 for the choir. We extend our congratulations to the lucky winners!
