Haydn Nelson Mass

Note: this event has passed.
This concert will be a rousing evening of music from the Baroque and Classical repertoire.
On the bill is Haydn’s Nelson Mass, a much-loved work, so nick-named since it was first performed just after Lord Horatio Nelson’s defeat of Napoleon at the famous Battle of the Nile in 1798!
Handel’s Nisi Dominus and Rameau’s In Convertendo Dominus, perhaps less frequently performed but nevertheless both gems of the Baroque era, are also on the programme.
