Britten St Nicolas
16 November 2019, 7:30 pm
St Barnabas Church
Note: this event has passed.
The programme for this concert was originally conceived as a celebration of saints but, as it took shape, another connection appeared—the importance of music in education, to introduce and inspire young people towards a lifetime of enjoyment in the arts.
All of the composers featured have connections with education, either directly, serving as teachers and directors of music, or through commissions to write for schools and youth choirs.
So it was fitting, and our great pleasure, to welcome some young people embarking on their own musical journeys – pupils from Twyford Church of England High School and Ealing Abbey Choir who joined us to perform Britten’s St Nicolas.
