Wimbledon Choral Society – Come and Sing – Cecilia McDowall’s Da Vinci Requiem

To mark its 100th anniversary, Wimbledon Choral commissioned Cecilia McDowall to write the ‘Da Vinci Requiem’, which had its world premiere to a sell-out performance in the Royal Festival Hall (2019). The Da Vinci Requiem is now available as a recording (2023) from Signum Records and has received many excellent reviews; it has been described by The Organ as ‘a masterpiece’. We are so pleased with the commission that we’d love to share it with you in the form of a day’s workshop, hosted by Wimbledon Choral, directed by Neil Ferris and with special guest, Cecilia McDowall.

Please put Saturday 3rd February 2024 in your diary now. The venue will be Wimbledon High School GDST – only a few minutes’ walk from Wimbledon rail/tube/tram station and on several bus routes.
